Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Polytan football turf certified for the seventh time in a row since 2005
.
The standard “FIFA Recommended 2 Star” (Professional Standard) guarantees an absolutely top quality synthetic pitch as well as provides the ultimate in player-friendly and safe surfaces. As FIFA certification always relates to football pitches that are already installed, the tests for the FIFA 2 Star Professional Standard need to be repeated on site every year in order to ensure consistent quality.
Polytan is the only company that can point to more than 20 recertified football pitches to add to its tally of just under 50 certified pitches. But Polytan also holds another record: five football turf systems have gained FIFA 2 Star certification six times in a row; in other words, they were first certified in 2006 and have since been recertified every year without interruption – among them is the training pitch of the new German
champion, Borussia Dortmund.
But the star performer among re-certifications is Borussia Mönchengladbach’s training
pitch. Having been awarded certification in 2005, the pitch was put through its paces
for the seventh time this year and received its seventh certification.
